Great Mind Academy’s KS3 tuition program is designed to build a solid foundation across all subjects as students transition from primary to secondary school. It covers a wide range of subjects with an emphasis on developing critical thinking, independent learning, and academic confidence.
English: The KS3 English course strengthens students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills. Key areas of focus include literature analysis (fiction, non-fiction, poetry), comprehension techniques, and advanced grammar. Students work on expanding their vocabulary, structuring essays, and improving writing clarity. The course also introduces literary devices, allowing students to critically analyze texts and express their ideas more effectively
Mathematics: The KS3 Maths curriculum helps students master arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data handling. It reinforces core skills while introducing more complex concepts such as quadratic equations, trigonometry, and probability. Practical exercises, regular quizzes, and problem-solving sessions are designed to improve students’ numerical fluency and reasoning skills.
Science: In KS3 Science, students cover the basics of biology, chemistry, and physics. Lessons focus on foundational topics such as cells and organisms, chemical reactions, energy, forces, and electricity. Practical experiments and investigations are a core part of the learning experience, enhancing students’ understanding of scientific concepts through hands-on application.
